New Jersey car accident leaves 3 injured, exact cause unknown

Car accidents can happen on any roadway, at any time and for a number of reasons. Loss of control of the vehicle appears to be the reason for one recent car accident in New Jersey. The accident happened on Interstate 95 when the driver lost control causing her vehicle to run off the road and into the woods. Authorities believe that the driver may have been attempting to avoid another accident already on the roadway, though there is no information available on this speculation.

The 39-year-old woman driver was heading southbound on I-95 when she lost control of her car leaving her and her two passengers injured. Both the driver and a 42-year-old female passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries. A second passenger, a 40-year-old woman, sustained critical injuries, though the exact nature and extent of these injuries was not reported.

All three women were transported to a Trenton hospital. The woman who suffered the most severe injuries remains in critical condition according to hospital reports. No word has been given on whether any charges will be filed in connection to the accident, but the investigation has not yet concluded.

The stress and trauma of any car accident and subsequent investigation can be extremely difficult for victims and their loved ones. What's more, the financial strain of medical bills, lost wages and other expenses can exacerbate an already difficult situation. Fortunately, New Jersey law has provisions that may allow the victims of car accidents to seek compensation for such losses if it is deemed that someone else's negligence led to their injuries and losses. While there is no true compensation for the trauma of a horrific accident, successfully litigated personal injury claims can provide a bit of solace as victims focus on making a complete recovery.
