Head-on collision on unfinished Route 565

A Sussex, New Jersey, driver was listed in critical condition while her three passengers suffered injuries after a head-on collision on Route 565. The woman was headed north on the roadway when a Mitsubishi Lancer traveling in the southbound lane crossed over into oncoming traffic. All four people were transported for medical treatment when emergency service vehicles arrived on the scene.

New Jersey suspected drunk driver critically injures bicyclist

According to Bergen County police, a head-on collision between a pickup truck and a bicycle on Sept. 9 left the bicyclist in critical condition. The pickup truck driver is facing charges related to the crash and suspected drunk driving.

Man pulled over for speeding is arrested on drug charges

A New Jersey man is facing serious drug charges after being pulled over for a traffic violation. Police report that they observed the man speeding in the area of West Front and Richardson on Aug. 28. They pulled him over and noted the smell of burnt marijuana coming from his car. They then searched his vehicle and allegedly found a partially smoked cigar filled with marijuana, another bag of marijuana, cocaine assorted paraphernalia and a substantial amount of cash.

New Jersey man charged after allegedly receiving drugs in mail

A 35-year-old New Jersey man who was accused of being involved with selling drugs was charged with associated offenses on Aug. 26. A number of agencies, including agents of New York Customs and Border Protection, were involved with the case.

New Jersey man facing weapon, drug charges

According to police, a man was taken into custody and has been charged with several offenses, including drug and weapon charges. Agents with Border Protection and New York Customs reportedly intercepted an international package that contained a significant amount of a psychedelic and stimulant drug called ethylone on Aug. 25. The following day, Aug. 26, members of different law enforcement groups conducted a controlled delivery of the package to the defendant.
